Electric Work Force is a customer-focused electrical company serving Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. We provide residential electrical repairs, panel upgrades, lighting, EV charger installation, rewiring, troubleshooting, and emergency service. We are looking for a reliable remote team member who can help us deliver a smooth, professional customer experience.
We are hiring a Remote Dispatcher/Customer Service Representative to assist with customer calls, scheduling, dispatching, and office support. This person will help answer calls, gather customer information, schedule jobs, and keep communication organized between customers and technicians. This is a part-time remote position with the possibility of growing into full-time as the company expands.
Key responsibilities:
- Answer incoming customer calls in a professional and friendly manner
- Collect customer information and enter job details accurately
- Schedule service calls and help coordinate technician availability
- Dispatch technicians and communicate updates as needed
- Notify customers of appointment windows, delays, or schedule changes
- Help track completed jobs, follow-ups, and customer notes
- Assist with basic paperwork, digital filing, and administrative tasks
- Assist with administrative coordination and office support tasks as needed
- Follow scripts, processes, and company procedures consistently
- Communicate clearly with the owner, office team, and technicians
Qualifications:
- Previous customer service, virtual assistant, call center, or dispatching experience preferred
- Strong spoken and written English communication skills required
- Strong phone etiquette and professional communication skills
- Reliable internet connection and quiet work environment
- Comfortable using email, scheduling tools, CRM systems, and basic computer programs
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to follow instructions
- Able to work during required U.S. Central Time business hours
- Dependable, punctual, coachable, and willing to learn
- Experience supporting a home service, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, or construction company is a plus
Pay and Benefits:
- This is a remote independent contractor role
- Pay: $7.00 - $9.00 per hour, based on experience
- Part-time remote schedule to start
