Electrical Service Technician

We are hiring an Electrical Service Technician to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who is skilled in residential electrical work, enjoys communicating with homeowners, and takes pride in doing the job right the first time. The technician will complete service calls, installations, electrical repairs, upgrades, and inspections while also helping customers understand their options and choose the right solutions for their homes.

Key responsibilities:

• Respond to residential electrical service calls throughout the Chicagoland area
• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, panels, breakers, outlets, switches, lighting, and related equipment
• Perform electrical upgrades, inspections, and repairs in customers' homes
• Communicate clearly with customers and explain the work being performed
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work area in each home
• Build rapport with clients and offer appropriate electrical service solutions
• Keep company vehicles, tools, and job sites clean and organized
• Follow company safety standards, codes, and procedures
• Participate in training and continue developing technical and customer service skills

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of electrical experience preferred
• Residential service experience strongly preferred
• Knowledge of electrical repairs, installations, breaker panels, outlets, switches, troubleshooting, and upgrades
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work in occupied homes with professionalism and respect
• Basic hand tools required; company vehicle and major equipment provided. 
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record required
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
• Employment may be contingent upon successful completion of a background check and drug screening, where permitted by law. 
• Humble, dependable, accountable, and willing to learn

Pay and benefits:

• Full-Time, W-2 Employment
• Pay: $20.00 - $55.00 per hour, based on experience, licensing, and residential service ability
