Electric Work Force is a licensed and insured electrical service company serving Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. We help homeowners with electrical repairs, lighting, panel upgrades, EV chargers, rewiring, troubleshooting, and emergency service. We are looking for a creative, organized Social Media Manager to help us grow our online presence and connect with more customers.

We are hiring a part-time Social Media Manager to manage and improve our social media presence. This person will help create content, post consistently, highlight our services, showcase completed work, and support brand awareness across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Google Business Profile, and other relevant channels. This is a great fit for someone who is creative, dependable, and comfortable turning service-based content into clear, engaging posts.


Key responsibilities:

  • Create and schedule social media posts for Electric Work Force
  • Manage content for Facebook, Instagram, Google Business Profile, and other platforms as needed
  • Write captions that are clear, professional, and customer-friendly
  • Highlight electrical services such as panel upgrades, lighting, repairs, EV chargers, rewiring, and troubleshooting
  • Help promote reviews, before-and-after work, company updates, offers, and educational tips
  • Maintain a consistent brand voice and posting schedule
  • Edit basic graphics, photos, short videos, or reels when needed
  • Monitor comments, messages, and engagement as directed
  • Suggest content ideas to improve visibility and customer trust
  • Coordinate with the team to gather photos, service highlights, and company updates

Qualifications:

  • Experience managing social media for a business preferred
  • Strong writing, grammar, and communication skills
  • Experience with Facebook, Instagram, Google Business Profile, Canva, and basic content scheduling tools preferred
  • Ability to create clean, professional posts and simple graphics
  • Organized, reliable, and able to meet posting deadlines
  • Creative mindset with attention to detail
  • Comfortable learning about electrical services and turning them into customer-friendly content
  • Ability to work independently and follow brand guidelines
  • Experience with home service, construction, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, or trades content is a plus

Pay and Benefits:

  • Part-time hours. Independent contractor position
  • Pay: $7.00 - $10.00 per hour, based on experience and location
  • Flexible remote schedule
  • Some overlap with U.S. Central Time business hours preferred
